What WristDNA is
WristDNA is a watch collection and wear-tracking application. It helps you keep a private Watch Box, log which watches you wear on particular dates, review your wear history, and see collector insights generated from your collection and wear activity.
Information you provide
Depending on how you use WristDNA, you may provide:
- an email address when you sign in with email
- profile information, such as an optional display name
- watch collection details such as brand, model, and other metadata you enter
- watch photographs you upload
- wear logs showing which watch you recorded as worn on a particular date
- optional notes, purchase date, price, currency, and other watch information
WristDNA displays the email address associated with your signed-in account on your Profile.
You can delete individual watches from your collection. Under the app’s current behavior, deleting a watch also removes the associated WristDNA records for that watch, including its stored photos and wear history.
WristDNA does not currently provide a self-service control for deleting an entire account from inside the app.
Google sign-in
If you choose Continue with Google, WristDNA uses Google authentication through Supabase Auth to sign you in.
Google may provide basic account information used for authentication, such as your name, email address, and profile picture. WristDNA does not request additional access to Gmail, Google Drive, Google Contacts, Google Calendar, or other Google services.
WristDNA uses information received through Google sign-in only to authenticate you, associate you with your WristDNA account, and provide access to your private collection and wear history.
WristDNA does not use Google sign-in information for advertising.
WristDNA’s use of information received from Google APIs complies with the Google API Services User Data Policy, including applicable Limited Use requirements.
Email sign-in
If you choose Continue with email, WristDNA uses Supabase Auth to send a passwordless sign-in or confirmation link to the email address you provide.
WristDNA does not require you to create or store an account password for this sign-in method.
Technical information
WristDNA’s product code does not currently include advertising pixels, behavioral advertising tools, or product analytics SDKs.
Like most web applications, requests to WristDNA pass through hosting, authentication, and infrastructure providers. Those providers may process technical information such as IP addresses, timestamps, browser information, and request information as part of operating and securing their services.
WristDNA does not operate a separate product feature that stores IP addresses or device fingerprints for user profiling.
After you sign in, WristDNA uses authentication cookies managed through Supabase so the application can recognize your signed-in browser.
WristDNA does not use localStorage or sessionStorage to store your account or watch collection data.
How information is used
WristDNA uses the information described in this policy to:
- authenticate you and maintain your signed-in session
- provide your Watch Box, watch records, and wear history
- store and display collection information and photographs you upload
- calculate wear and rotation statistics
- generate WristDNA collector insights from your collection and wear activity
- maintain the security, reliability, and operation of the service
- respond to privacy or support requests when you contact WristDNA
WristDNA collector insights are generated from your collection and wear information using WristDNA’s own application rules.
WristDNA does not currently send your collection or wear history to an external AI or large-language-model service to generate these insights.
Storage and service providers
WristDNA currently relies on the following service providers to operate the service:
- Supabase — authentication, database services, private file storage, and authentication email infrastructure
- Vercel — application hosting and delivery
- Google — optional Google sign-in authentication
These providers may process information as necessary to perform those functions.
WristDNA does not currently use third-party advertising or behavioral analytics providers in the product.
Sharing
Your Watch Box, watch photographs, and wear history are private by default and are available through your signed-in WristDNA account.
WristDNA does not currently operate a public social profile or public feed of users’ collections.
WristDNA may share information with the service providers described above when necessary to operate, secure, and deliver the service. WristDNA may also disclose information when required by applicable law or valid legal process.
WristDNA does not sell your personal information.
You may choose to generate, save, or share a WristDNA card. When you choose to share an exported card or image, you control where that image is sent or published. WristDNA does not create a public collection profile as part of that feature.
Watch photos
Watch photographs you upload are stored in private storage associated with your collection and are displayed in the signed-in application using time-limited signed URLs.
Photos may contain metadata embedded by your device. WristDNA does not currently guarantee that embedded metadata, such as EXIF information, is removed when a photograph is uploaded.
You should avoid uploading photographs containing information you do not want stored with your collection.
Retention and deletion
WristDNA keeps account, collection, and wear information while your account exists so the application can provide your Watch Box, wear history, and WristDNA features.
You can delete individual watches from your collection. Under the app’s current behavior, deleting a watch removes the associated WristDNA records for that watch, including its stored photos and wear history.
WristDNA does not currently provide an in-app control for permanently deleting an entire account and all associated records.
You may contact WristDNA to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information.
Security
WristDNA uses authentication, per-user access controls, and private-by-default database and storage rules, including row-level security for application data.
No method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure, and WristDNA cannot guarantee absolute security.
Children
WristDNA is a general consumer application and is not directed at children under 13.
WristDNA does not currently provide an age-verification feature.
If you believe a child has provided personal information to WristDNA, please contact us so the matter can be reviewed.
